Lulu in Arabic means ‘pearl’ and in African languages it means Unique. Lulu also means 'remarkable'. Like the name, the mall is one of its kind. Built with approximately 2000 crore rupees, it is one of the largest malls with an area of 2.2 million sq. ft.
The mall offers a place where you can lounge, lunch, laugh, and loiter to your heart’s content. To put the grandiose of the mall in perspective, it has the Lulu Hypermarket, a must-visit, a Lulu Fashion store, and Lulu connect offering items from local to global like groceries, stationary, health, and beauty, home items, clothing, and accessories. You name it, they have it.
For the shopaholics of the city and even the neighboring cities, Lulu is going to be the place since the mall is home to over 300 national and international brands. The mall has some exclusive brands like Uniqlo, Zara, H&M, Kazo, Vero Moda, and Blackberrys in a long list of other brands.
The food court that can seat 1,600 people at a time is foodie heaven with 15 fine dining restaurants and many cafés. The food shops in the LuLu hypermarket offer an array of mouthwatering dishes including exotic veg, non-veg, seafood, and sweets along with most of the Indian foods, like, chaat, Indian sweets, salads, and of course biryani to name a few.
The mall also features ‘Funtura’, UP’s largest Playzone for kids and adults. Apart from all the glitz and glam of shopping and food services, the mall offers some important services like baby care rooms, baby prams, parking and washrooms for differently-abled persons, helmet park, baggage counter, car wash, and ATM.
Excluding the newest mall at Lucknow, Lulu has one mall each in Trivandrum, Kochi, and Bangalore. The mall promises to provide employment to at least 15,000 people in UP.
Yusuff Ali M.A, a UAE-based businessman is the chairperson, and MD of the LuLu Group International is the owner of the mall. He was awarded the Padma Shree Award in 2008. He is the recipient of multiple honorary doctorates from various notable universities across the globe.
